We have now added a new video to promote the new Change4Life snacking campaign to our Envisage Media library.
This new video encourages parents to ‘look for 100-calorie snacks, two a day max’ to cut children’s sugar intake. Around half of a child’s sugar intake comes from unhealthy snacks and sugary drinks. This can lead to obesity and dental decay.
On average, children are eating at least 3 unhealthy snacks and sugary drinks a day, with around a third consuming 4 or more. This means that children are consuming around three times more sugar than is recommended.
A child’s sugar intake currently comes from:
- almost 400 biscuits
- more than 120 cakes, buns and pastries
- around 100 portions of sweets
- nearly 70 of both chocolate bars and ice creams
- all washed down with over 150 juice drink pouches and cans of fizzy drink
Selected supermarkets are supporting the campaign and parents can get money-off vouchers from Change4Life to try healthier snack options.
If you already have Envisage and would like help adding the Change4life snacking video to your system then please visit our dedicated support section.
